Sustainable material choice
The material that the dishcloth holder is made from is carefully selected from PLASTIX, a company based in West Jutland, Denmark, which specialises in developing ‘green plastics’ from end-of-life marine waste.

Marine waste recycled into new products
End-of-life marine waste, including fishing nets, ropes and trawls, is sorted and purified so that it can be recycled into new products. This reduces both the amount of CO2 involved in production and the consumption of/demand for new fossil fuels.
In addition, recycling marine waste reduces both the amount of ocean waste and the amount of waste landfilled.
Sustainability
When designing the KLUDD dishcloth holder, the focus was on sustainable development, including the choice of materials, the amount and type of packaging and the place of production.

Packaging
The packaging is designed to reduce packaging consumption. The KLUDD dishcloth holder is mounted on a small piece of paper that provides a visual explanation, support and suspension of the product, as well as appropriate labelling for in-store use. The packaging is produced by a printing company that has been awarded the Nordic Swan eco-label, which sets a number of requirements, including responsibly produced paper and limited energy consumption.
Production
The dishcloth holder is 100% produced and packed in Denmark with the endeavour to reduce transport and increase quality. A short supply chain reduces the CO2 impact from both transport and additional handling.
Logistics
The KLUDD dishcloth holder is produced and stored in Skive, Denmark, made from recycled plastic from Lemvig and packaging from Aarhus. In total, there are less than 200 kilometres of transport in the supply chain of key raw materials.
